Flights to Borneo, Malaysia from the United Kingdom range from about 17h-30h. Your precise flight time will depend on your city of departure, as well as the number and length of stopovers. To reach the city centre from the airport, buy a ticket from the Airport Taxi counter in the arrivals terminal and hand it to a taxi driver at the rank outside the terminal. It will cost you about £6 to arrive at Kota Kinabulu city centre. If your destination is Tawau or Sanfakan in Sabah, or Kuching in Sawak, it will cost you about £12.50 by taxi to these city centres. You can also rent a car from the airport if you prefer to do the driving. There are no public transportation options from the airport, so taking a taxi or hiring a car is usual.

A day trip to Labuan Island just off the coast of Sabah will have you enjoying an afternoon sprinting across warm sandy beaches and luxuriating in the azure sea.
British citizens travelling to Borneo, Malaysia need a passport with six months of validity remaining from the date of their arrival, although a visa is not required for stays under 90 days.
