The city of Hurghada features a sub-tropical desert climate, which makes the winters very mild and warm, and the summers very hot. July is the hottest month in the city. Hurghada International Airport is a major gateway to this popular Egyptian beach and diving resort.

The city of Hurghada, until fairly recently an unassuming fishing village, is now a throbbing tourist destination with more than 100 hotels and several beautiful beaches.
