Peak Season:
Practically all year is a peak season in Marrakech, with its buzzing atmosphere able to be experienced almost anytime. Of course there are certain times of the year that are extremely hot and uncomfortable so knowing when to visit can be the key to enjoying your vacation. Cheap flights to Marrakech are easy to come by, and Spring and Autumn offer great weather all day long. From March to May and September to November are the most popular times of year, making cheap flights to Marrakech a little more difficult to find, however generally the prices are good most of the year. If you don’t want to get caught up in all of the crowds, get your flights to Marrakech in the Winter, even then temperatures don’t drop below 20°C during the day. At night you will feel a considerable change though. If you love the sunny weather and enjoy hot temperatures, book your cheap flights to Marrakech during July and August for highs reaching close to 40°C, although this makes exploring the city almost unbearable.
Off Season:
It’s worth knowing that during Ramadan and in August most restaurants and shops are closed, and eating in public is classed as offensive during Ramadan.

There are quite a few airlines that operate flights to Marrakech, and most of them at great prices. EasyJet, Ryanair, British Airways and Thomson Airways are a few airlines, with Ryanair normally offering the best prices on flight tickets. If you’re flexible with your dates and with what airport to fly out of, Ryanair can offer you bargains on your flights to Marrakech. The other airlines also offer very reasonable prices, and during the summer Ryanair charge a premium for baggage so weigh out your potential options before booking.
The airport is only 10km away for the city, although there are only limited transport options available. Before you even get out of the airport you might even feel overwhelmed with everything Marrakech offers. The easiest way to get into the centre is to book yourself a hotel room that offers a pick-up service from the airport. Failing that you can either get a taxi or a bus. The bus would be the next best option and you can get from the airport to your hotel by telling the driver where you are staying. The bus is a cheap and convenient way to travel unless you’re carrying lots of baggage with you as the buses can get rather busy at times. Your only other choice is to get a taxi from outside the airport. Make sure to arrange a price before you get in the taxi, and ask them to use the metre to stop them charging you an excessive amount. Generally the taxi’s aren’t too bad although some drivers will try to take advantage of tourists.
Welcoming more than three million passengers each year, Marrakech-Menara International Airport serves the city of Marrakech, and is one of the busiest airports in Morocco after Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport. Flights to Marrakech-Menara International Airport are available from many cities around Europe, including Lisbon, Brussels, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Copenhagen, Oslo and Milan. There are also local connections available via Casablanca if you’re coming from elsewhere, such as the US or Canada.
Despite a modern appearance and beautiful facilities, the airport is often crowded and disorganised, with long queues for ticket counters and security. If you’re flying out of Marrakech, get to the airport well in advance of the flight to leave time for queuing and finding your gate, as notice boards are lacking and your ticket may not have this information.
