Peak season:
You’ll struggle to find cheap flights to Morocco for much of the year, with July and August the hottest months. Spring time, which is around April and May, offers cheap flights to Morocco as well as perfect weather. It’s not too hot and you’ll never be cold either. Make sure to secure your flight tickets in advance though to avoid overpaying. The weather will vary depending on where exactly in Morocco you are going, so expect the south and more desert-like areas to be a lot hotter than in the mountains. If you plan to visit during February then book your flight tickets well in advance as the almond tree blossom festival takes place in Tafraoute.
Off season:
Although July and August could be classed as peak season, they are also the off season too. Temperatures can get unbearably hot for almost all tourists, even some locals struggle with the heat. You might find cheap flights to Morocco then though but you’ll probably end up melting in your hotel room.
You’ll find the cheapest flights to Morocco either around November when the country sees a bit of rain, or during the hottest two months of the year. Either way you should look to secure your flight tickets at least 2 or 3 months in advance. If you have the luxury of flexibility and aren’t governed by school holidays or specific weeks off of work then you’ll find the cheapest flights to Morocco. Simply compare different dates and locations. If your flights to Morocco take you to Marrakesh then sitting on either side will offer you stunning views as you approach.

Ryanair, easyJet and British Airways provide cheap flights to Morocco and all have their own benefits and cons. Ryanair and easyJet will by far offer the cheapest flights to Morocco but at the sacrifice of comfort. You also need to be careful when booking your flight tickets during the Summer as you might notice the price of checked in baggage increase dramatically (sometimes more than the price of the flight ticket). British Airways aren’t the cheapest airline but they are comfortable to fly with, and you can get free snacks and drinks throughout your flights to Morocco which is an added bonus. Once you’ve decided where you want to travel to in Morocco you can start researching and comparing the different airlines to find yourself the best flight tickets.
Marrakesh:
There is the number 19 bus which operates from the airport to the city every hour. It runs pretty much all day, with a break between midnight and 6am. This is one of the easiest ways to travel to the city and it’s cheap too. You can also get a taxi although this will be more expensive. Make sure you agree on a price before getting in and if you can split the fare with a friend then the taxi will be more worthwhile. If you have a lot of luggage then you can get larger taxis too, but these are again more expensive. Both sizes of taxi will double in price during the night.
Casablanca:
From the airport you can use the rail system to travel to the port and the city. The route generally takes 45 minutes but is a great way to travel providing you aren’t carrying loads of luggage. The only other way to get to the city is to rent a car or jump in a taxi. Renting your own car isn’t advisable and a taxi will set you back more money than the train. You can find the taxis outside the airport though but just be sure to agree on a fee before entering and for extra peace of mind ask the driver for a receipt.
Morocco has seen a 317% increase in demand for flights to the country compared to last year.
